Calori Roadster

Jack Calori built and raced his original 1929 Roadster at El Mirage back in the late forties until he sold it in 1948. The car had such a distinct look that my friend Billy Crewl decided to build a replica. I can tell you personally that he has some serious time researching what Jack originally used on the car. I didn’t do very much of the work except the occasional weld or mechanical suggestions, but I was left to tackle building the iconic exhaust system. The toughest part was definitely figuring out how to get the pipes connected to the driver’s side rear exhaust port. The squeeze between the motor and the steering box was a challenge to say the least.
